Less than 30 minutes from the campsite, the Village Insolite, discover the jewel of the Emerald Coast, Dinard renowned for its mild climate. A seaside resort that took off in the 19th century with the arrival of English bourgeois families. Its aristocratic villas and the exotic gardens surrounding them are sumptuous. Start your visit by the Priory beach with the view of Saint Malo on the horizon, stroll in the park of Port Breton before starting your walk in the moonlight, lined with splendid palm trees skirting the sea to the beach of l’Ecluse.

This beach is surrounded by two famous peaks : the pointe du Moulinet and the pointe de la Malouine where the villa des Roches Brunes (Brown Rocks villa) is enthroned and houses beautiful exhibitions. There is also the district of Saint Enogat where, near the fountain, many local families meet to eat a good ice cream or have a drink in the small square.

Then, continue your Tourism in Brittany further west towards Saint Lunaire and Saint Briac sur mer, beautiful Breton villages, not to be missed during your stay at the campsite near Dinard. Visit Saint Suliac

From the unusual village, your Saint Malo campsite, located in Saint-Benoît des ondes, join another village bordered by the Rance river, Saint Suliac.

17 km away, 15 minutes from your unusual accommodation, discover this beautiful old village of the “terres neuvas” located on the estuary of the Rance river. Remarkable site preserved since 1999, it is part of the most beautiful villages of France. Stroll through the narrow streets, whose granite stone houses are decorated with old fishing nets. Numerous hikes are offered to you to discover the Moulin Bauchette, old tide mill, the saltworks of the watchtowers, the menhir called “Gargantua’s tooth” or the fortified church housing the tomb of the Welsh monk founder of the village.

Take advantage of your stay in a yurt at the Village Insolite de Saint-Malo to attend the St. Suliac Festival in the first weekend of August to relive traditions, or at the end of August, the festival of the Doris, old boats used to fish cod in Newfoundland. Dinan

Dinan, city of art and history

At 20 km from the Village Insolite, Dinan is certainly one of the most beautiful medieval cities of Brittany. This fortified town steeped in history, will delight you with its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, churches and its parapet walk. Located on the heights of the Rance, it revolves around the Place Duguesclin where the famous statue of the knight is enthroned. On Thursdays, a famous market settles there very famous by locals and tourists.

Then stroll towards the Jacobins theatre and the Clock Tower and then towards the old streets in the name of ancient trades such as the street of the fishmonger’s, shoemaker’s, tanners… Then extend your walk to the Basilica Saint Sauveur and its park which will offer you an exceptional panorama on the port of Dinan.

For the bravest, descend to the port by the street of Jerzual, which will offer you a trip back in time where jewelry shops still exist. You can then either start a superb stroll to the port of La Hoise, along the Rance river or have a drink and a pancake in the many restaurants along the river.
